DEVELOPER JACK WALLICK proposed the first residential / commercial high rise in Ohio in 1986. It was viewed as a “an historic venture” by then Mayor "Buck" Rinehart. In a July 26, 1986 Columbus Dispatch article, he called the Waterford Tower “the boldest housing project ever undertaken in downtown Columbus (and) that it would contribute to the rebirth of the city’s center.” His words were prophetic. The Waterford was completed in 1988 and served as the first step in bringing first-class residential development to downtown Columbus.

WE ARE young professionals, mid-life professionals, retirees, executives, grad students, educators, single, married, with children, with small pets. Most of us are year-round residents. Some of us are part-time residents who appreciate the help of staff in maintaining our homes while we are away.

WE KNOW our neighbors yet privacy is respected. Holiday parties, special movie and sports events, wine tasting and art showings, graduation and wedding receptions, and summer cookouts on the sundeck are all a part of the neighborhood.

OUR SPACE AND OUR PEOPLE INVITE A SENSE OF COMMUNITY
